Why are inspection necessary?

Electrical installations deteriorate with age and use.  They therefore, need to be tested and inspected to check they remain safe. We carry out periodic inspections when a property is being prepared for letting or when customers are buying or selling a previously occupied property. Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Health & Safety at Work Act in 1974, requires business’s to be electrically safe for use by their staff, customers and the public.

What does periodic inspection tell you?

·        If there is risk of electric shock or fire hazards

·        If any equipment or circuits are overloaded

·        If any electrical work is not functioning correctly

·        If any bonding or earthing is required

 If we carry out a Periodic Inspection, you will receive the following;

• Schedule of Test Results

• Evidence of defect from the IEE Wiring Regulation

• A quotation for any remedial works deemed necessary
